La Terre brûlée 

Les français se voyaient maître du monde en 1800, les Esclaves avaient été remis en ordre suite à l'annulation du décret d'abolition de 1794.

Les Nègres Marrons ont décidé avec conviction de s'opposer à cet orgueil colonial.

Surgissant la nuit tombée sur les habitations, ils pillaient et brûlaient tout.

C'était un.acte politique car détruire l'outils esclavagiste, frapper l'économie visaient à affaiblir les colons.

Cela choquera certains mais même les chiens y passaient car ils représentaient l'oppression et les chasseurs d'Esclaves les utilisaient à loisirs.

Pour l'armée française, il s'agissait de "fantômes" d'ombres traversant les ténèbres mais pour les noirs de Guadeloupe ils étaient l'espoir et la lutte ces frères Marrons.

 The French saw themselves masters of the world in 1800, the Slaves had been put back in order following the cancellation of the abolition decree of 1794.

 The Maroon Negroes decided with conviction to oppose this colonial pride.

 Emerging after dark on the dwellings, they pillaged and burned everything.

 It was a political act because destroying the slave tools, hitting the economy were aimed at weakening the settlers.

 This would shock some, but even the dogs passed there because they represented oppression and the Slave Hunters used them for leisure.

 For the French army, they were "ghosts" of shadows crossing the darkness but for the blacks of Guadeloupe they were the hope and the struggle these brothers Marrons.
